Hayden is a recovering alcoholic nearing 3-years sobriety. Through her struggles for sobriety, she's grown into an empathetic individual, though is still riddled with her own anxieties. Hayden is overcome by guilt over her grandma's recent passing but pushes herself to attend a virtual remembrance to help find closure. While she was close with her grandma, she is not close with the rest of her family, as though she is the black sheep of the group. Facing them brings out her insecurities and becomes overwhelming, but Hayden is stronger than she realizes. When she is transported into her virtual background – a memory of her grandma – she finds the strength to forgive herself, even if the only person blaming Hayden for her grandma's passing was herself.
