This dystopian psychological thriller is set in American suburbia about a family with close-knit values and how a new incoming family to the neighborhood disrupts the flow of life, family, and trust. "A Far Few Years From Now..." revolves around an interracial family, The Batemans, as they try and get through the summer during the brink of a second American civil war, and while a new family, the Rally's, move in next door posing a dire threat to the Batemans family ties. Little do the Batemans know, they are the main pieces to The Rally's sinister game to tear the family from the inside out based on their "unorthodox" style of life, which has them questioning their reality. Their trust, temptation, nobility, and core values all get tested under the Rally's mental manipulation they pose on the Batemans. As the movie progresses, their everyday life and environment shift to a dystopian setting, as the family questions what's real, what's fake, and what's in their heads. This twisted game leaves the Rally's in control and the Batemans questioning "why?" |
