The play recounts the aftermath of the brutal murder of Matthew Shepard in Laramie, Wyoming, and the national conversation it sparked on violence against LGBTQ individuals. The script is taken directly from interviews with the people of Laramie, conducted by members of the Tectonic Theatre Project.
