Provide top notch quality product to our seasoned guests and first-time visitors.

What it takes to succeed:
Our performers entertain our guests in various ways, including but not limited to actors, costume characters or specialty talent (such as stilt walking and bungee harness).
We look for outgoing performers who can also tell a story through their performance. Must have great showmanship.
Attend a live audition.
Be a team player and have a positive attitude.
Participate in all physical and vocal warmups and cool downs.
Ability to stand, sit, kneel, crawl, lay down, and/or jump up repeatedly for duration of shift.
Flexibility in schedule.
At least 16 years old.


What else is important:
Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
Perform the following physical activities repetitively: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks, and vocalizations
Able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, cold/heat temperature extremes, and dark conditions
Applicants must be able to wear make-up and/or masks
Flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities

Role # 2 - Show Operator Submit yourself for this role

As a Show Operator II at SeaWorld San Diego, you will operate and support audio, video, lighting, stage crew and other various aspects of park shows and special events for the Entertainment Department's Show and Event Operations team. You will also:


Provides technical support to the services area of Entertainment. Participates on special projects and assignments.
Proficiently operates audio/video cues, sound/video effects, mixes live microphones, musical instruments, audio/video operation, lighting cues and lighting functions and performs stage crew duties for park shows and special events as assigned.
Executes all pre-show and post show duties as outlined in the daily schedule.
Participates in basic care, and maintenances of technical equipment and facilities as assigned.
Consistently executes stage direction and show cues as directed by leadership.
Demonstrates expertise in at least two show related roles and duties.
May assist Training Team with training material.
Maintains a safe work environment and meets safety requirements.
Maintains a positive and flexible attitude and adapts to changing demands.
Sets positive examples for fellow employees on how to Celebrate, Connect and are for our guests.
Assists other Entertainment work areas within the department as assigned.

What it takes to succeed:


At least one year of experience operating audio, video, and/or lighting equipment and/or stage crew experience in a theme park or live performance setting.
Able to demonstrate an understanding of audio and/or video and/or stage crew duties and/or lighting console operation.
Able to work weekends, holidays, late evening and early mornings.
At least 18 years of age. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to positively interact with park guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or languages, and individuals with special needs.

What it takes to succeed:
•At least 3 years related experience in general troubleshooting and repair of audio, video, and electronic circuits, or devices.
•Associates degree, vocational training, or technical trade school preferred.
•Intermediate knowledge of audio/video systems and equipment including: Understanding of signal flow, video switchers, audio mixers, show control systems, video surveillance systems, wireless microphones, and computer-based media equipment.
•Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues in audio, video, wireless microphone, show control, and special effect systems. Replace and/or repair defective elements as necessary.
•Troubleshoot to the component level and evaluate need to repair or replace.
•Ability to set up wireless microphone / in-ear systems, including remote antennas, handheld and bodypack transmitters, receivers and correctly coordinate and assign frequencies.
•Ability to test primary function of show control systems and identify all faults and repair them if possible.
•Ability to test special effects, recognize faults and repair and/or replace when necessary.
•Ability to fabricate custom electronic circuits and devices as assigned preferred
•Ability to perform solder repairs on cables, connectors, and circuit boards.
•Ability to coordinate and assist with pulling and terminating audio, power, and low voltage cables.
•Ability to install ground and above ground speakers and video monitors.
•Ability to setup/ strike audio and video equipment for large special events and private parties.

What it takes to succeed:
•2 to 3 years of experience with theatrical lighting and special effects and/or theatrical rigging

•Intermediate lighting knowledge including - Hanging and focusing of lighting instruments and addressing fixtures
•Intermediate understanding of signal/data flow for analog and digital controls
•Intermediate knowledge and operational skills of theatrical lighting consoles from ETC or High End

•Lighting Design experience preferred
•Intermediate understanding of electrical theory including load calculations for various electrical services and loads

•At least 1 years experience with the use of a VOM, cable tracer, clamp on multi meter
•Soldering experience required
•Ability to read theatrical lighting plots and paperwork including channel hookups, instrument schedules, and focus charts
•Ability to assist in the design of lighting for group sales events, festivals, and shows
•Manage work time to deliver and/or install products within requested timeframes
